8.8" (22.5cm) Round Large Bellied Wood-Fired Speckled Finish Unglazed Bonsai Pot

A large unglazed round bonsai pot with a broad bellied body that swells outward through the middle before narrowing toward both the base and upper opening, giving it a low, substantial profile. The brown unglazed surface has speckling and subtle tonal variation, while the softly rounded upper edge flows smoothly into the body without a strongly projecting rim. With an internal depth of 2.7" (7 cm), it would suit established small-to-medium bonsai with reasonably compact root systems. Pines, junipers, yews, spruce, and other conifers would be particularly natural pairings, while mature deciduous trees could also work. Informal upright, slanting, and compact broad-spreading compositions would suit the pot especially well; a more substantial literati could also work.
