22.4" (57cm) Extra Large Hexagonal Wood-Fired Speckled Finish Unglazed Bonsai Pot

An extra-large, deep hexagonal unglazed bonsai pot with a substantial, traditional form. The six broad sides have gently rounded lower profiles and are separated by subtle vertical corner ribs, while the body opens outward toward a thick, slightly flared rim. Six integrated feet continue the symmetry of the hexagonal shape and give the heavy pot a stable base. Its brown surface shows speckling and uneven tonal variation across the walls, rim, and base, giving the finish much more character than a uniform brown clay body. This pot is intended for substantial, mature bonsai with large root systems. It would pair especially well with old pines, junipers, yews, spruce, fir, and other powerful conifers, particularly trees with thick trunks, coarse bark, jin, shari, or strong signs of age. Formal upright, informal upright, slanting, broad-spreading, and substantial semi-cascade compositions could all work well.
