# 22" (56cm) Extra Large Shallow Oval Unglazed Forest Bonsai Pot w Subtle Gradient Finish

If you’re looking for a restrained pot for a large, established forest or group planting, this broad shallow oval would be a very natural option. Its simple form features a minimalist oval body with a subtle tonal-gradient finish and a narrow raised band around the base. The brown unglazed finish would keep the presentation understated, allowing the trunks, nebari, moss, and overall composition to remain the focus. With an internal planting depth of only 1.7" (4.5 cm), it is best suited to well-established bonsai with already-developed, shallow root systems. It would work especially well for Japanese maple, trident maple, zelkova, elm, beech, larch, and pine forests, as well as raft, clump, and other broad multi-trunk compositions. A large individual specimen could also work where the tree has a sufficiently flat, mature root pad.
